missingWrote a review on Nov 30
The breakfast was a standout, offering a good spread of hot and cold options, making mornings here quite enjoyable. The location is super convenient, right in the heart of the city with easy access to parking around the corner.
Some aspects of the facilities need attention-rooms are on the smaller side. The bathrooms show their age, especially the showers, which can be less than satisfactory. Cleanliness was a concern too. The evening meal options were very limited, often just soup and bread, which left a number of diners dissatisfied. The elevator is not the most reliable, with operational issues noted, impacting convenience.

Charming locale with delightful breakfasts
The Grand Hotel Arendal exudes historical charm, adorned with nautical decor. I particularly enjoyed the extensive breakfast with fresh selections, and the friendly staff made our stay memorable. The central location is perfect for exploring.
My room felt cramped and the bathroom appeared outdated. I also faced issues with noise from the street and the soup and bread evening meal left much to be desired. It felt more like a snack than a proper dinner.

this hotel had the audacity to provide a meal that was literally just bread and soup, not exactly a culinary delight. to top it off, my lightbulb was out and the curtains were broken, yet no one offered me any special treatment. i almost considered a good review, but it just couldn’t happen.

Cozy vibes and comfy bed
I stayed in room 206 and loved the separate sitting area. The bed was super comfy, I slept so well! The breakfast had everything you could want, and I enjoyed hanging out in the cute bar area for a light meal in the evenings. A little downside was the bathroom could use some updating.
